How do I apply?

Click Talk to Auntie on the homepage. It opens Telegram and starts a chat with @auntie_imani_bot. Auntie will greet you and send you the $8 application link right in the chat. No forms, no signup — everything happens in the conversation.

What does the $8 cover?

It pays for Auntie's time. She reads every application personally and decides who's accepted. The fee is one-time and non-refundable — it does not guarantee acceptance. It's the cost of a real read, not a yes.

Do I pay $8 again if I retake or come back later?

No. The $8 is per Telegram account, not per attempt. If you start over with Auntie or take a long break and come back, you don't pay again.

How long does the intake take?

About ten minutes for the conversation, plus three short open-ended quizzes. Auntie writes a summary of who she sees in you at the end.

How does Auntie pick a match?

She reads your bio and quiz answers, then runs a careful funnel: hard filters (age, dealbreakers, faith fit), then similarity across personality and values, then a final compatibility read by AI. She introduces one match at a time. Never a deck of options.

Who sees the match first?

Sisters always. Auntie shows the sister a description of the brother — name, age, location, faith practice, and a narrative summary — without his Telegram handle or photos. She accepts or passes. Only if she accepts does the brother get told a match exists.

When are photos shared?

Only after both sides say yes. Until then, no photos go anywhere. Character first.

How many matches do I get?

One at a time. While you have an active introduction (pending or mutually accepted), Auntie does not search for new ones. When the current match closes, you re-enter the pool automatically.

What if neither side responds?

Auntie checks in once after 24 hours. If still no decision after 72 hours total, the match auto-expires and both sides re-enter the pool.

What happens after both of us accept?

Auntie shares both names, Telegram handles, and photos, then steps back. From there you talk directly. She'll check in at day 7 to see how it's going. You can always tell her with /done if you'd like to close the match and look again.

What does it cost to receive matches?

$19.99/month for sisters. $44.99/month for brothers. The $8 application fee is separate — it doesn't roll over into the membership. You only pay membership after Auntie accepts you.

How do I subscribe?

Send /subscribe in the bot. Auntie sends you a Stripe link. Pay, and she'll start matching immediately.

How do I cancel or update my card?

Send /billing in the bot. You'll get a personal Stripe link where you can update your payment method, cancel, view invoices, or change your billing email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current month — you keep access until then.

Can I pause without canceling?

Not yet, but it's coming. For now: cancel via /billing if you need a break. You can resubscribe anytime.

What happens if my card is declined?

Stripe retries automatically over a couple weeks. While your account is past-due, Auntie pauses matching. Update your card via /billing and you'll be back in the pool right away.

What does Auntie share with my match?

Before mutual accept: a curated description she writes herself — your basics, faith, and a narrative summary. No photos, no Telegram handle. After mutual accept: your name, your Telegram handle, and any photos you've uploaded. Your raw conversation with Auntie is never shared verbatim.

Can I delete my data?

Yes. Send /delete to soft-delete your account. We can hard-delete on request — email salam@auntieimani.com.

Where is my data stored?

Supabase (managed PostgreSQL) for profile and match data. Stripe for billing. Telegram for chat history. We do not sell or share your data.

I paid the $8 but Auntie didn't message me back.

Give it about a minute — payment confirmation goes through Stripe and back to the bot. If after a few minutes nothing happens, email salam@auntieimani.com with your name and email and we'll fix it.

Auntie is asking me to pay again, but I already paid.

Email salam@auntieimani.com. We can verify the payment and unstick your account in a few minutes.

The Stripe page shows a different name on it.

If you ever see a payment page that's not branded "Auntie Imani", do not pay. Email salam@auntieimani.com immediately so we can confirm.

I want a refund.

The $8 application fee is non-refundable. For monthly membership refunds, email salam@auntieimani.com — we handle these case by case.

Something else is wrong.

Send /support in the bot or email salam@auntieimani.com. A human reads every message.
